How to choose good-quality paper tableware?

With the rise of people's environmental awareness, paper tableware has quietly entered millions of households. But when faced with the various types of paper tableware on the shelves, how should we choose?

Pay attention to thickness and anti-seepage/anti-oil resistance:

When choosing paper tableware, you can gently pinch it with your fingers. Those that are obviously soft and deformed should be avoided. Focus on observing the thickness at the bottom and seams of the tableware. The load-bearing parts should have an added thickening design. We can directly fill an empty cup with boiling water and let it stand for one minute. If it is a good product, there will be no dripping. At the same time, pay attention to choosing food-grade PE laminated cups for hot drinks and environmentally friendly water-based coatings for cold drinks. For dishes with heavy oil like braised pork or oil-poured noodles, choose materials that are anti-oil. If the inner wall of the tableware has a waxy feel or plastic reflection, it indicates that the coating is uniform and meets the standards; if there are local whitening or blemishes, it may indicate shoddy workmanship.

Pay attention to fluorescent additives:

Paper products that come into direct contact with food must pass food safety tests. Check the packaging for the "food contact grade" label. The QS mark is a basic guarantee. Be wary of overly white products, as they may have residual fluorescent whitening agents. When purchasing, you can check whether the items in the test report meet the standards for "fluorescent substances" and "heavy metals".

Pay attention to detailed experience:

The rolled edge design of the cup mouth determines the touch on the lips. Choose a 3mm or thicker rolled edge for a more comfortable feeling; the anti-slip ridges on the bottom of the bowl can reduce the noise of the dining table; when folding the paper box, check if the creases are precise. Inferior products often crack due to misalignment. Good paper tableware can not only enhance the dining experience but also doesn't require much care.
